Who are we?
Youth Development Advocates Foundation (YUDAF) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to serving and empowering Ghanaian Youth.
YUDAF consists of youth activists and adult allies who are working to influence policies and programmes in their communities and nationally to support holistic development of the Ghanaian Youth.
Our Vision
To be a reputable and credible organization recognized as the focal point for the promotion of youth development in Ghana.
Our Mission is to:
Help improve the quality of life of young people.
Assist young people reach their full potential.
Encourage democratic participation and civic responsibility in future generations.
Why Focus on Young People?
Young People represent the most important human resource the nation has.
They have a unique contribution to make to national development. This is due to their energy, enthusiasm, resilience and innovation, and the fact that they are able to inject fresh focus into our national life.
They are also destined to be the leaders of the future of Ghana.

Programme Strategies and Services
To achieve its purpose, YUDAF uses various strategies, which include:
• ADVOCACY AND COMMUNITY MOBILISATION
Advocating for action on Youth needs in strategic partnership with policy makers, parents and community leaders.
• HEALTH EDUCATION (SEXUALITY) AND COUNSELLING
Increasing access to comprehensive sexuality education, peer education and counselling, to enable youth make healthy and responsible decisions about their sexual health.
• CIVIC INVOLVEMENT
Empowering youth to take responsibility for peace, human rights (including Rights of children), citizenship, democracy and the environment through education, leadership development, and direct participation in the events that shape our world community.
• JOB/VOCATIONAL SKILLS TRAINING
Creating opportunities for the empowerment of young people through the acquisition of relevant skills that include public-speaking, computer literacy.
We do these by Engaging. Educating and Equipping.
Our Believe
We believe that Youth are resources for enhancing the quality of community life today and for building strong communities for the future. YUDAF’s focus is to strive for a supportive gender sensitive environment for youth development.
We will be guided by Team Work, Hard Work, Integrity, and Diligence in all we do.

Our Business
Our philosophy is to combine community empowerment and youth development to accentuate our efforts to effect positive, long-lasting improvement in the conditions of the Ghanaian youth.
YUDAF emphasises youth empowerment by simultaneously supporting community rebuilding, strengthening of families, and improving local conditions.

The Challenge
The challenge is to ensure that opportunities for youth empowerment are made real in order to achieve a sense of self-esteem, competence, useful and personal responsibility over decisions affecting their lives.
In a sense, young people should feel they belong, and are in a position to influence what affects their lives.
